Microneedling

At Genesis Med Spa, we believe in empowering you to look and feel your best. That’s why we offer microneedling—a minimally invasive treatment that activates your skin’s natural healing process to boost collagen and elastin production, delivering a smoother, firmer complexion.

About Microneedling

Microneedling uses a device equipped with ultra-fine needles to create micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These controlled channels trigger your body’s natural repair response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin—two key proteins that maintain skin elasticity and youthfulness. To ensure your comfort, a topical anesthetic is applied before treatment, making the experience virtually painless. The needle depth is tailored to your skin’s unique needs, whether you’re targeting fine lines, acne scars, or overall tone and texture.

Microneedling FAQ

Will it hurt?

No, microneedling does not hurt. Exceed microneedling represents the latest technology in microneedling, which has been enhanced for patient comfort. Before the Exceed device is used, a numbing cream soothes and prepares the skin for treatment. The rapid movement of the needles themselves makes treatment go by quickly.

How soon will I see results?

While some initial improvements can be seen in 2-4 weeks, continued results are visible as the skin produces new collagen over several months.

How many sessions will I need?

Most patients benefit from a series of treatments, with results becoming noticeable after 1-2 sessions and a full course often requiring 4 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart.

What is microneedling with PRP?

PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is used for a wide range of regenerative treatments. Combined with microneedling, PRP skin rejuvenation boosts the results of your treatment. PRP is derived from a small sample of your own blood—that’s why microneedling with PRP is often nicknamed the “Vampire Facial”. The blood sample is put through a centrifuge to separate out platelet rich plasma, which is rich in growth factors that help trigger cell regeneration.
